As my readers know, I LOVE JEWELRY! If a piece of jewelry is unique enough, I will buy it from anywhere! Aside from buying jewelry outside of my home, sometimes I buy jewelry from my home.

Let me explain...
When I leave my dog home alone, I leave on the Home Shopping Network. I figure it is background noise with people talking, so maybe he will feel like someone is home. But, when I get home, I usually sit and watch HSN with my dog because I get sucked into something that they are selling, and boy can I be a sucker sometimes.

HSN is where I have discovered some really cool things, including the Victoria Wieck Ring collection.

This ring for example is awesome and also on clearance for $49.95! How fabulous would this look for a night out on the town!? And you know everyone will think you paid so much more for it. Another thing that I like about this ring is that you can accessorize it with other jewelry that is gold or silver.

I could totally see myself wearing this ring on my right pointer finger with some large silver hoop earrings, a white tank top, knee length dark jean shorts and nude strappy heels, for an awesome casual summer evening look. Awesome!

L.A. Fashion District is pretty sweet!

Just last week I experienced the Los Angeles Fashion District.

It was pretty cool! At first all I saw was a bunch of fabric stores, and while I know how to sew the basics, I wanted the cheap clothes and bags everyone talks about!! After walking a few blocks, I found what I was looking for! Clothes and costume jewelry and beads and handbags OH MY!!!

The fashion district is HUGE! It is split up into the following sections:

Women's Wear
Men's Wear
Athletic Wear
Kid's Wear
Accessories
Textiles
Flowers
Houseware's

Electronics

So pretty much anything you could want is down there, but you do have to shop for the deals.
And you have to pay attention to quality. There was a lot of junk down there. I found one clothing store where everything was $2!!! But it was all pretty much crap.

I would suggest buying handbags down in the L.A fashion district. The bags that were sold down there were bags that you can buy at the mall but $10-$20 cheaper.

When you go down there, expect to pay at least $5 for parking. More if you park in a prime spot. Have on good walking shoes because you will be walking many many many blocks! Keep your purse close too because there are a lot of people walking by you, and carry cash, because a lot of places only take cash.

Also, don't forget, the Los Angeles Fashion District is open:
Monday - Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

And if you are an Artsy/Craftsy person, there is so much for you there! There are lots of bead and crystal stores for making jewelry, and tons of fabric stores!

If you decide to take a trip to the L.A Fashion District, HAVE FUN!! Check out the website and make sure to visit Santee Alley. You will feel like you are totally in another place!

Finding shoes for wide feet can be a feat!

I'm sure that there are some people in this world that can relate to a problem I have, wide feet! Why is this a problem? Because finding shoes that fit can be difficult! I will be in the shoe store and find a perfect size 7 1/2 shoe, (that is also on sale!) try it on and it doesn't fit because of my wide foot! It is so frustrating! Now the shoes that I am talking about are the sexy, going out on the weekend kind of shoes, I am also talking about your every day going to work pumps. I generally have to resort to wearing some sort of dressy thong sandal with a kitten heel. Of course there is nothing wrong with that, but my toe nails aren't always in tip-top shape, and I like to cover them sometimes!

What's a girl to do? I don't have all day to try on shoes.

Let me tell you a little about these shoes that I have fallen in love with. First of all, he has a ton of styles, second, they are reasonably prices and third, I know they will fit my feet!

Here is a picture of my first pair of Michael Antonio shoes. I wear them all the time and dance all night long in them. They were only $58 and with a platform, the heels don't feel all that tall.
Here is my latest pair of Michael Antonio's. HOT! They are going to be my summer shoes. With the nude color I can wear them with everything from my white pants to my denim shorts. I can't wait!
